Ok this one is for all our Truly Styled, You DIYers out there! We love Fall and all the décor possibilities that will make your home feel cozy and Truly You! What if we told you that you can create the ultimate Fall décor display, with something as simple as a can of spray paint, some pumpkins and tons of fun? It is so easy and the results are amazing! Your neighbors will be asking you where you bought your “expensive looking” pumpkins.
First things First!
Go to your local nursery or store and get various pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and color. We suggest the fairytale pumpkins because of their uniqueness and variations. Get a variety so you have some to paint and some to leave as they are.
Bring the Fam!
Furry ones and all! While you are there don’t forget to grab some mums, yummy cider and candy apples! It’s all part of the experience right?
Hello Pumpkin!
Once you picked the lucky ones and purchased your spray paint, prepare to spray. We recommend Rustoleum because there are great metallic paints and glitter paints to choose from. (Please do so outside or in a well-ventilated area)
Mix It UP!
You can paint them all or just paint only a few for pops of interest. It’s all about making your home and the decor in it Truly You, so have fun with it! Mixing shiny metals and matte finishes is also a fun touch! Gold and Copper are always a great combo and mixing a matte gray or black in will really make it feel r
Have Fun!
You can choose to paint the entire pumpkin or you can use painters tape to block off areas to and create fun designs. Let your pumpkins fully dry. If you are feeling creative, add some fun glitter, decorative such as gold spiked studs or Washi tape to create fun designs. Once complete add these eye-popping metallic and decorated pumpkins in with the natural beauties you also selected grab some apple cider or hot cocoa and ENJOY!
